I purchased the 80W from the same company first. I started to build ship models, but I was frustrated with my old laser cutter because of the delicate wood cutting required for non-bulkhead ships like the ancient Kyrenia ships, and the large number of parts that needed to be cut out. So I bought an 80W laser cutter for my second laser cutter, but it was clearly over-spec, so I bought this 40W one, but it is still over-spec. Specifically, it can cut 2.5mm plywood in two passes at 400mm/m (6.6mm/s). I am very happy with this, as my previous cutter either couldn't cut it in 45 passes or the wood burned.

Very happy. Cuts flawlessly through 3mm ply and does, indeed, mark stainless steel. As the seller claims it has a very sharp and fine cutting beam, I sliced double-ply cardboard at 1200mm/s for a stencil and it cut flawlessly in one pass, with no scorching on either side.

Очень чувствителен к фокусировке. Как только материал уходит из фокуса - перестает резать. От этой игрушки я не надеялся получить очень много. но для некоторых работ вполне сгодится. Лишь бы заявленный ресурс не подкачал.

It fits to ortur laser master 2 directly with no modifications or adittional material. Comparing to ortur laser modul 15w that I have before is one cut with new 40w agains 25 cuts with ortur. Very small footprint of laser, so small that is hard to set it optimal with bare eye. Buy it!
